2 – 4pm RECORDER FANTASIA
Kathryn Bennetts & Peter Bowman (recorders) with recorder groups from Goudhurst & Kilndown C of E Primary School, Marlborough House School, Hawkhurst, Tonbridge Recorder Quartet and Dunorlan Recorders (Tonbridge Evening Class)
The afternoon shows the Arnold Dolmetsch legacy: the educational development of the recorder and its current use in the community for amateur music making from young children to advanced groups of teenagers and adults. Music will be drawn from all periods and will include Dolmetsch’s arrangements of music by Dowland, Byrd & King Henry VIII

5pm – 6.15pm JEANNE DOLMETSCH
“Arnold Dolmetsch: Celebrated Musician, Scholar and Craftsman.”
Illustrated talk on her grandfather with slides and recordings. The Story of the Early Music Renaissance and its relationship with the Arts and Crafts Movement in the 1890’s
6.30- 8pm Supper interval
8pm REFLECTIONS OF HASLEMERE
Kathryn Bennetts & Peter Bowman (recorders), Michael Fields (lute) & Pawel Siwczak (harpsichord)
This programme is based on music presented for the early Haslemere Festival concerts and will include harpsichord solos and Bach arrangement of Brandenburg 4 and Purcell’s Chaconne from Dioclesian.
